As with previous model years, the 2023 Dodge Challenger lineup begins with the SXT trim. Under the hood of the Challenger SXT is a 303 horsepower 3.6L V6 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Outside, the Challenger SXT features the Challenger's signature low and wide stance, a wide grille with a hood overhang, emblematic round headlights with LED halo rings, 18-by-7.5-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable side mirrors, passive entry, automatic headlights, and LED brake lights. Stepping inside the SXT trim, you'll find dual-zone automatic climate control, six speakers, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, push-button ignition, an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration.

As far as the powertrain goes, the GT uses the same standard equipment as the SXT trim. However, the Challenger's features are upgraded for the GT trim. Exterior upgrades for the Challenger GT include an SRT front splitter, 20-by-8-inch alloy wheels, a performance hood with a functional hood scoop, and a rear lip spoiler. Inside the Challenger GT, you'll find upgrades, including steering wheel paddle shifters, a flat-bottom performance steering wheel, performance seat bolsters, remote engine start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a six-speaker premium audio system.

The R/T trim upgrades the powertrain to a 375  horsepower 5.7L HEMI V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The throaty growl from the HEMI engine is emitted through Dodge's electronically-controlled Active Exhaust system. This uses an electronically-controlled valve that closes while coasting and decelerating to limit engine noise and opens when the vehicle is accelerating. Other standard features for the Challenger R/T include front fog lights, a functional hood scoop, 20-by-8-inch wheels, performance steering, performance suspension, rear parking sensors, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen.

The R/T Scat Pack trim levels up the Challenger's powertrain again with a 6.4L HEMI V8, pumping out 485 horses. The larger engine is also paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Outside, the R/T Scat Pack features 20-by-9-inch wheels, Brembo high-performance brakes, launch control, line lock, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and Dodge Performance Pages. The Scat Pack trim is eligible for the Challenger's widebody package, widening its stance for a more aggressive look. The Widebody Package adds 20-by-11-inch alloy wheels, adaptive damping suspension, and widebody fender flares.

The Challenger SRT Hellcat is a legend among muscle car enthusiasts, mostly due to its 717 horsepower 6.2L supercharged V8 engine. The Challenger Hellcat features a wide range of performance-enhancing features, including air intake valves integrated into the daytime running lights, dual-snorkel hood scoops, Bilstein adaptive damping shocks with adjustable ride height, and more. The Hellcat also features SRT Power Chiller, which diverts refrigerant from the air conditioning system to the supercharger's cooling unit to maintain an optimal running temperature. Additionally, the Race Cooldown mode will keep the radiator fans running after a track run to continue to cool the supercharger after the engine is powered down. Lastly, the SRT Performance Pages show drivers 0-60 times, engine output readings, and more.
